We know that, if you travel by bike, it is important for you to have a place of reference that helps you to organise your day better and to move around more easily before and after each outing.

For this reason, at the Cycling Center Playas de Luz you will find an area of repair, car park, laundry, locker room, refuelling and showers. You also have access to other spaces and services in the area, such as the swimming pool, the snack bar or the self-service launderettewhich can also come in handy during the day or during your stay.

Whether you're staying in the area with your motorhome, caravan or camper, or you're coming to ride and spend the day, here you have a practical base for you and your bike.

Indoor locker

Keep your bike in a reserved space during your stay.
The interior locker is designed for those who want to store their bike inside the area. A very convenient option when you travel with your own bike and value having it in a safe place.

Service subject to reservation and at an additional cost.

Discover routes adapted to different ways of experiencing cycling.
In the Cycling Centre you can consult cycle touring routes, road routes and proposals for gravel or MTB, with options that leave and return to the area and other cycling references to continue exploring the surroundings.

Bike Station

Get your bike ready before or after every ride.
An area equipped with a lift for small repairs, tools, inflation pump and charging point for electric bicycles. Designed for those basic adjustments that help you to leave with your bike ready or leave it ready when you return. In addition, at reception you will find some basic accessories to solve common incidents.

Bicycle wash

A practical place to clean your bike.
After riding, having a washing point helps to remove mud, dust or saltpetre and to keep the bike in good condition during your stay, especially when you have several rides in a row.

Service available at extra cost.

Recharging e-bike, GPS and mobile phones

Keep your electric bike and the devices that accompany you on the route in good condition.
If you come to spend the day, you can use the Cycling Center charging point. If you are staying with us, you can recharge from your own pitch. In addition, the area allows you to manage simultaneous recharging for groups.

Bicycle parking

Park your bike comfortably while you enjoy other services in the area.
We have parking for bicycles within the facilities of Camper Park Playas de Luz, designed for short stops or for those moments when it is convenient to leave it parked while you make use of other spaces and services in the area. If during your stay you prefer to leave it in a reserved indoor space, you can consult the bicycle locker.

From Playas de Luz you can access cycle touring routes, road routes and gravel or MTB proposals, with an environment that connects the coast, the marshes, the interior of Huelva and Portugal.

Cycle touring and quiet routes
A very attractive option if you enjoy cycling at a more leisurely pace and want to discover the surroundings between municipalities, landscapes and connection with the Atlantic coast. It also fits very well with those who are looking for long-distance routes linked to references such as EuroVelo 1 and its connection with Portugal.

If you are attracted by trails, the variety of terrain and more sporty outings, you will also find gravel and MTB proposals. Some leave from and return to the area, and you'll also have information on well-known routes and events in the area, such as the Huelva Extrema or the Leyenda de Tartessos.

If you feel like, after the stage, sitting down with friends to discuss the route, discover new routes or meet other cyclists, in Cycling Center Playas de Luz we make it easy for you. Our snack bar is the ideal place to stop, share the day and continue making plans. on wheels while you have a drink with your friends.

In addition, we have created the club of Cycling Center Playas de Luz in Strava so you can connect with other cyclists, follow the activity of the community and keep up to date with future meetings and rides.

Pass Day: Come and ride, enjoy the area and go home feeling you've made the most of the day.

The Pass Day is designed for cyclists who are not staying in the area, but want to come with their vehicle, make a route and then take advantage of the facilities of Camper Park Playas de Luz.

It is a very practical option for cyclists from neighbouring counties who want to come and ride with friends, meet up with other colleagues or extend the plan with some time at the beach or swimming pool after the route, leave the bike clean, take a shower and enjoy the surroundings with the family or have a snack before returning home.

 

With the Pass Day you will be able to:

  • Park your car in our facilities.
  • Make your route with the Cycling Center as a support point.
  • Wash the bike on the way back.
  • Access to showers and swimming pool.
  • Use the bicycle locker is included for the day.
  • Recharge your e-bike, GPS or mobile phone if you need to.

Price: 15 €/day per person.
Booking is compulsory and subject to availability.
Available only during reception hours.

What is the Cycling Center Playas de Luz?

It is a space within the Camper Park Playas de Luz designed for cyclists who want to have the practical part of each outing sorted out, whether they ride on their own or with friends or in a group.

Here you will find services such as Bike Station, bicycle parking, indoor locker, use of the laundry room, e-bike and device recharging, route information, track consultation and Pass Day option. In addition, being inside the area, you also have other spaces that complete the day, such as showers, swimming pool, self-service laundry or snack bar.

The Cycling Centre is designed both for those who stay in the area with their motorhome, caravan or camper and for cyclists who want to come and ride and spend the day using specific services and facilities of the area through the Pass Day.

Yes, you can come as a day user through the Pass Day, designed for cyclists who want to arrive with their vehicle, do a route and then take advantage of the area's services and facilities such as showers, swimming pool, bicycle locker and technical support during the day. 

You may also find it useful if you are travelling en route, bikepacking or following itineraries such as EuroVelo 1 and need to use some of our services during your stay in the area..

The Pass Day is designed for cyclists who want to come to Camper Park Playas de Luz with their vehicle, make a cycling route and then use the facilities of the area during that day.

Price: 15 € per person per day

It includes:

  • Car parking
  • Access to showers
  • Access to swimming pool
  • Bicycle storage for the day
  • Bicycle wash
  • Recharging e-bike, GPS or mobile phone
  • Use of tools and technical area

It also allows you to use the area as a foothold on your route.

Reservation: The Pass Day requires advance booking and is subject to availability according to the affluence of the area.
Available within the reception hours:

  • Winter: from 9:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • From the end of March to June: from 9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • July and August: from 9:15 am to 1:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

September to mid-October: same timetable as at the end of March

Some Cycling Center services are paid for separately, both for day users and for clients staying in the area. In the case of the Pass Day, the bicycle locker for the day, the use of the washing facilities and the recharge are already included.

The services at additional cost are:

  • Bicycle locker: 10 per day
  • Use of the bike wash: 2 € per wash and bike
  • Recharging e-bike, GPS or mobile phone: 2 € per device or battery
  • Self-service laundry5 € per service

In the case of recharging, the Cycling Center provides users with charging points. Each cyclist must bring their own charger or charging device. In addition, the area is prepared to manage simultaneous recharging for groups.

The self-service laundry room is available for both guests staying in the area and Pass Day users, with two washing machines and a 10 kg tumble dryer.

The bicycle parking is designed to leave the bike parked for short stops. inside the area. The bicycle locker is an interior space reserved for bicycles. for those who prefer to keep them during their stay and requires prior reservation.

In the Cycling Center you can consult cycle touring routes, road routes and gravel or MTB proposals, with options that leave and return to the area.

If you fancy a quieter plan, you will find routes to enjoy the coast, the marshes, the nearby towns and the connection with Portugal, in an area that is well suited to cycle touring and with long-distance itineraries such as EuroVelo 1.

If you are looking for more sporty outings, you can also consult road, gravel or MTB routes and access information about well-known cycling events and routes, such as the Huelva Extrema or the Legend of Tartessos.

To follow the routes, it is important to bear in mind that the routes are not marked on the ground, so you will need to download the track and follow it with GPS.

Cycling Center Playas de Luz is very well located for those who travel or ride following EuroVelo 1 - Atlantic Coast Route, one of the great European cycle touring routes. In its route through Spain, this route links Irún with Ayamonte over 1,685 km and 30 stages, and its passage through this environment makes Playas de Luz a particularly interesting point to link stages and follow the route to Portugal.

Yes, the transfer is available on request and with minimum 72-hour advance booking. It can be used for arrivals from the airport or train station, for the start or end of a route and for luggage transfer.
